Kevin on Parkinson - Big thanks to Jaye

Kevin appeared on Parkinson to advertise The Shipping News. Also appearing were Dame Judi Dench and comedian/impressionist Rory Bremner.

Fans who have seen the show say that Kevin was relaxed, articulate, intelligent, confident, charming, funny, sexy, animated, fidgety and sparkling with charisma. All that in just 30 minutes! Kevin went with the smart sexy look (or funereal, depending on who was watching) - Black.  He wore a black suit with silky black tie, white shirt, black socks and very, very shiny shoes. Kevin had a slight stubble and his hair was neatly combed back to the side so you couldn't see his bald spot (too bad!). Or it was artfully combed to lessen the glare off the top of his head. A few sightings have been reported.

He walked down the now familiar staircase, as all guests do (probably worried he'd trip!), with his hand in his pocket. Very suave, Kevin!

Kevin did a little tap dancing, tried to teach Parkinson, but with little luck. Parkinson says he'll get Kevin to sing next time. Kevin said he'd like to act at the Old Vic again (He said when he returns to acting it will be theatre and he will either start the show at the Old Vic or end it there but either way it's going to be after his year off. )

He  did his Judi Dench, Bill Clinton, Peter O'Toole, Ian McKellen, Al Pacino and Jimmy Stewart, Katharine Hepburn and Jack Lemmon impressions.

Parkinson said that Kevin seemed to embrace England unlike other American stars who came over and as soon as possible wanted to fly back home.

The sweetest thing was at the very end when people were applauding he looked over to Dame Judi with a 'how did I do' look and she patted his hand and nodded a 'you did fine'. (Thanks Jaye, LindyLoo, Vivienne (and Sarah for that last bit) ).
