I found this while looking for an Edison movie site ( no luck so far). I don't know if we caught this one or not back in November. Everyone was a little excited about a certain movie, TV spots, concert and CD and all.

The movie will be on DVD in Germany towards the end of next month.

Dozens of A-list celebrities are set to descend on the city next month for the
Toronto International Film Festival, including Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth
Paltrow, Anthony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman, Tim Burton, Ang Lee, Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan and Guy Ritchie.
"There are so many guests coming to the festival it's absolutely extraordinary," event director Piers Handling said today before reeling off a laundry list of Hollywood's biggest names.
The annual cinema bash and shmooz-fest, in its 30th year, runs from Sept. 8 to
17 and will feature 335 films from 52 countries.
There will be 109 world premieres shown at the Toronto event, which has become one of the film industry's most talked about festivals.
Audiences this year will get a first look at Martin Scorsese's much discussed
documentary No Direction Home: Bob Dylan, which draws on hundreds of hours of unseen footage and obscure recordings featuring the legendary singer.
Revolver, Ritchie's tale of a revenge-seeking con man, will also have its debut in Toronto. It stars Ray Liotta and Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000 of Outkast).
In addition, festival-goers will be treated to the world premiere of Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist, starring Ben Kingsley as Fagin.
Other films being unveiled at the festival include Stephen Frears's musical comedy Mrs. Henderson Presents, which stars Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, and The Myth, a new vehicle for action star Jackie Chan.
Tommy Lee Jones, meanwhile, will be in Toronto to showcase his directorial debut, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. He stars in the film along with country singer Dwight Yoakam.
Festival organizers had previously announced that Deepa Mehta's Water will
open the festival. It's the final instalment in the Toronto director's trilogy named after the elements, following the 1996 film Fire and 1998's Earth, which both premiered at the festival.
Today, organizers revealed that Edison, the story of a journalist's efforts to
expose corrupt cops, will wrap things up. It stars Kevin Spacey, Freeman,
Justin Timberlake, LL Cool J and Dylan McDermott.Link

Edison is now in the editing phase of post production.

There have been several items on the Internet over the past week in which Antonio Banderas is quoted as saying that Justin Timberlake is going to be unfairly crucified by the critics when Edison comes out. My own feeling is that's a shame, but if the critics are picking on Timberlake, maybe they won't be picking on Kevin for once.

Timberlake, who will make his movie debut alongside Spacey in Edison, says, "Kevin has got me reading all kinds of new material and it's really opening my mind.
"He believes in me as an actor and we have discussed working together on stage."http://www.teenmusic.com/d.asp?r=64972

Bad cops in 'Edison' film just coincidence
Published in the Home News Tribune 3/25/04
By CHRIS JORDAN
STAFF WRITERA young journalist uncovers a team of crooked cops in Edison.
That's the plot for an upcoming movie called "Edison," starring Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman and pop star Justin Timberlake. While it might sound true to life, the film is not based on the township, filmmakers say.
"It's more coincidence than anything," said "Edison" publicist Barbara Chomos.
The title was chosen to reflect a "very glassy, electronic and powerful city," said Chomos yesterday during a phone call from Vancouver, British Columbia, where "Edison" is being filmed. "It's a city that looks like it has new money."
But the recent history of New Jersey's Edison suggests that the movie could have been taken from local headlines. A 2000 broadcast of CBS' "60 Minutes" explored alleged corruption within the department and focused on the former head of the Edison Police Department's Internal Affairs Unit, who contended that his efforts to root out corrupt cops led to charges against himself and his family. The program also highlighted a former police officer who was convicted of bank robbery in 1999, and a police sergeant who was convicted in 1991 of criminal sexual contact of a woman while responding to a noise complaint in her home.
"Edison" writer and director David Burke, known for his work on television shows like "Wiseguy" and "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit," wrote the movie before the "60 Minutes" report aired, said Chomos.
However, the similarities between Edison the movie and Edison the township has occurred to students at the township's high schools.
"We were talking about it in school," said Allison Yang, a 16-year-old junior at J.P. Stevens High School. "We heard they're making a new movie about the corruption in the Edison Police Department."
Edison Police Department officials declined to comment beyond saying that the film's production company had not contacted them about the movie, and that the title seems appropriate as "the name Edison is in tribute to a world-reknown inventor, Thomas Edison, and that represents a progressive, positive image," said Lt. Matthew Freeman.
"It's not surprising that the movie would use the name for a fictional city," he said.
"Edison" is budgeted for $25 million, according to reports, and is being produced by Millennium Films. It's expected to be released in 2005. Chris Jordan:(732) 565-7275;cjordan@thnt.com
